There is nothing like listening to beautiful music in a beautiful place. I have been going to the Sunday night performances at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. Last night was Verdi & Vivaldi.
I love all of the bright colors enhancing the intricate architecture. One of my favorite things is the angels painted on the vaulted ceiling at the front of the nave. I hate that it's called a groin vault, but that's what it is.

I'm still sad I forgot about this. Also, have you ever noticed that some of the angels at the cathedral look like flappers? It's true. And I'm dying to be one, too.
